BI in Oslo has an ongoing research program where we are looking for two post doc’s. One is directed to the interface between Governments and the market place and the other to the interface between technological changes and the market place. The positions are each for one year.

We added another function to this website, called “Courses”. You can find it on the menu to the left. The section is available for everybody to read and thus lecturers can add their course there and then simply direct their students to this website if they want to find information about it. That way they’ll also be able to find other courses posted by other lecturers that they didn’t knew existed…

Bournemouth University Business School would like to hear from IMP post-doctoral researchers who would be interested in applying for a supported Leverhulme Fellowship. There are a number of relationship and network researchers in the Business School’s ‘Centre for Organisational Effectiveness’ who are interested in collaborating with a visiting fellow. The fellowship would be funded and available from August 2004 onwards and would last for 9-10 months.

Kajsa will defend her dissertaion the 18th of October at Chalmers in Gothenburg. The opponent is Per Andersson from Stockholm School of Economics. The aim of the dissertaion is to explore variety in distribution networks, the framework built on the industrial network approach in combination with Alderson´s tranvection approach is applied on distribution of PCs. Variety is analysed by identifying and analysing a number of transvections, and how they are interconnected. The analysis focuses on how objects, starting as raw material and ending up as an end-product, are changing in different dimensions as they are sorted and transformed.

Magnar Forbord will present his dissertation – “New Uses of an Agricultural Product? A case study of development in an industrial network” at NTNU in Trondheim the 13th of June. Don’t be afraid to click around the website and punch whatever you find to punch on, unless you have added papers or books you would like to keep intact there is nothing you can damage. In fact we would like to encourage you to try out the different functions of the website both so that you can get a hold of how it works and so that we can be able to see how the website function “in action”. Whatever you add you can also modify and delete the second you add it, so you can play around as much as you wish without leaving any traces. And if you would reveal a bug during your adventure you know who to tell, don’t you? 🙂
