The 2025 IMP Conference – with the theme “Learning from the past – interacting for the future” – was hosted by Chalmers University of Technology, August 19-22 in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The conference started with a doctoral colloquium where seven PhD students and six faculty had constructive discussions.
This was followed by a reception at Chalmersska Huset, where the university’s founder William Chalmers once lived.
The conference took place at Lindholmen, a vibrant area where academia meets industry and society.
The key note speaker Anna Nilsson-Ehle held an inspiring speech on the topic “Multi-stakeholder achievements through collaboration”.
The conference hosted 114 delegates, presenting 74 papers in 26 sessions, contributing to interesting theoretical, empirical, and methodological discussions.
The meet-the-editor session provided good insights in current publication opportunities and challenges.
The IMP 2025 Quiz that took place during Thursday’s dinner was a close call, but the winning team won with the motivation ‘Industrial networks eat ecosystem for breakfast’.
Two special issues will be linked to the conference, one in Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, and one in Industrial Marketing Management. We look forward to seeing the results of these special issues.
The weather in Gothenburg showed itself from its best side which allowed walking and ferry trips to the different dinner venues.
Now we all look forward to the 2026 IMP Conference in Ancona, Italy.
