Special Interest Goups (SIGs)

Special Interest Group on Resources

This SIG is a great way to share ideas, build your network and meet new writing partners!

The second wave of paper writing activity is organised into several sub-themes.

These include capabilities and resilience, digitalisation and AI, sustainability, and tools. We are also actively working with joint grant application proposals for COST, Horizon 2030 and regional grant bodies such as Nordforsk. We have regular physical and online meetings, arrange workshops and see each other at the annual IMP conferences.

Are you interested in resources, both tangible and intangible, resource interaction, value co-creation and capabilities?

Read on! The Resources SIG was established on a sunny day in Poznan at the 2016 IMP conference by a small number of active IMPers.

At present it involves around 30 active researchers from nine different countries.

The first wave of paper writing activity in the SIG was around writing a set of papers that contrast IMP’s conceptualisation of resources with other parallel areas in marketing and management (e.g. Bocconcelli et al,. 2020; Baraldi et al., 2023) and further the conceptualisation of resources within IMP (e.g. Prenkert et al, 2022).

The meetings are an active, engaged space for sharing paper ideas at all stages of development, methods and theory development, and for finding new co-author configurations. This is a great research platform for you if you are interested in resources, and we welcome researchers at all stages, particularly early career researchers/PhD Scholars interested in this area!

Please contact Roberta Bocconcelli, Conor Drummond, Debbie Harrison or Frida Lind if you would like more information

Special Interest Group on Sustainability

This SIG is a great way to share ideas, build your network and meet new writing partners!

Are you working with any aspect of sustainability in your research?

The Sustainability SIG may be of interest to you!

The SIG was established after the 2022 IMP conference in Florence, in which the sustainability track was one of the largest. Currently, the SIG involves around 25 researchers from several different countries.

Currently the SIG is organised around a series of themes, to promote discussions and to enable writing projects. The themes include degrowth, network dynamics, circularity, and market shaping, amongst others. We have regular online meetings and see each other at the annual IMP conferences. The meetings are an active, engaged space for sharing paper ideas at all stages of development, methods and theory development, and for finding new co-author configurations. This is a great research platform for you if you are interested in sustainability, and we welcome researchers at all stages, particularly early career researchers/PhD Scholars interested in this area!
