Technological advances in machine learning and artificial intelligence are disrupting traditional ways of working, making way for more efficient and cost effective solutions. Telecom managed service industry is one such area where digital disruption may affect the offshore outsourcing industry and lead to evolution of new business models. This paper, through an exploratory study, discusses how such digital disruption may lead to companies reviewing their offshore managed services strategy and opting to in-source network operations in future.
