The Role Of Bureau De Style In The Entrepreneurial Network For Textile Product Innovation

The aim of the paper is to examine the theme of textile product innovation, with special reference to interactions between textile firms and bureau de style -creative actors of the fashion network- in order to analyze their contribution of information and knowledge to the process of innovation. In conclusion, the paper tries to answer to the following questions: which bureaux de style and textile firms engage in inside interaction behaviour the contribution (increasing or decreasing) of this interaction to the innovation process of the textile firms the role played by interaction in the accumulation knowledge activities produced by bureaux de style.Our research is based not only on study of the literature and on analysis of the results of research into this question, but also on primary sources composed of information collected through interviews (case analysis) with members of the top management and of the creative teams of bureaux de style located in Italy and in France. We use the methodology of case analysis in order to define the nature and role of the bureaux de style within the network and to provide a definition in qualitative terms of the way their knowledge contributes to product innovation.
