Paper presents a case study of public-private relationships studied in Finnish Defence Forces and its suppliers. It shows through presenting two cases how partnerships have evolved and what kind of challenges these have faced. Partnering in this context is demanding and both parties have to adapt and develop operations. Unique organizational culture and long traditions in internal service production are not easily changed to more dynamic public-private collaboration.
