Within the IMP group the network approach has proven to be a successful perspective forstudying the incidence and effectiveness of industrial interaction. In these studies, the effectof Inter Organizational Systems (IOS) on the industrial relationships and networks has alsobeen explored and the value potential of buy-side IOS or E-Procurement (EP) has been widelyacknowledged. In order to realize this value potential, a multitude of individual-leveladoptions have to take place within organizational user groups, following the organizationalleveldecision by management (and subsequent technological implementation). In this paperthe network approach is applied to intra-organizational, individual adoption of users of EP(actors) with the objective of identifying inter actor influences that improve adoption, therebyrealizing the value potential of EP in a B2B relationship or network.
