Changing customer tastes and trends, shortening product life cycles, increasing global competition and the evolving technology have pressured many companies to scrutinise their own businesses to increase internal efficiency and to capitalise on the knowledge, technologies and resources of others. The company’s relationships are prime assets in this process and their effective management is critical to success in taking advantage of new opportunities. This paper deals with the question of how organisations mobilize other organisations in their surrounding network to achieve their own objectives. Building on the network approach, we link different perspectives together, we propose the model “Network Mobilizer” and explain our empirical findings in their real life context.Note: If you want to get the actual paper, please contact Pete Naude directly.
