    B-to-B Chair

    THE POSITION



    EMLYON Business School invites applications for a position of Associate or Full Professor in Business to Business marketing in a

    changing environment, beginning in September 2016.



    This new position must contribute to the issue “Changing lifestyles, Transforming markets”. The goal is to study how lifestyle changes impact markets and how markets transform people’s lifestyles. A key issue is the dynamic nature of lifestyles and markets and their

    constant coevolution. In this perspective combining BtoB, BtoC and BtoBtoC marketing perspectives allow to capture the transformation process.



    We are open to different research topics in the field of Business to Business Marketing; these may include – but are not limited to - the following topics:



    - How technology and digitalization transform Business to Business interactions, relationships, networks

    - How technology and digitalization transform value chains

    - How servitization transforms value chains

    - How technology and digitalization transform uses and experiences in Business to Business contexts

    - Others…



    Knowledge of key sectors such as communication and information technology will be appreciated. Salary and conditions are competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience

    The position is to be filled in the Department “Markets and Innovation”. The department consists of 22 full-time international faculty members whose research activities are closely tied with their field work and teaching. Customer/supplier relationships are the

    common focus of all marketing faculty members, with a particular attention on relationships in practice, or in-use. Relationships are studied in a variety of contexts in terms of markets (BtoB, BtoC and BtoBtoC), offerings (products and services), and channels

    (traditional and digital). They are also studied from a variety of perspectives: the supplier’s, the customer’s and the retailer’s, as well as from an interactional perspective. Members of the Markets and Innovation Department have published their research in a

    variety of journals such as Consumption Markets and Culture, European Journal of Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Consumer

    Research, Journal of Marketing, Management International, MIS Quarterly, Recherche et Application Marketing

    JOB REQUIREMENTS



    Applicants must hold a PhD or doctorate and have a strong research orientation. This orientation should be demonstrated by a publication track record in highly regarded management journals such as those in the FT list.



    Successful candidates should demonstrate an excellent teaching ability at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.



    Successful candidates should be able to teach in English.

    - The paper to be presented if invited for a job interview (preferably unpublished)

    - A list of papers under review or in progress

    - A copy of three significant publications or working papers

    - Reference letters from two referees
