Sourcing in China: The Swedish Experience

One of the most fascinating characteristics of today's globalbusiness landscape is that more and more western firms areundertaking sourcing activities particularly in China, a country nowwidely known as ?the workshop of the world? The purpose of thispaper is to arrive at a better understanding of how to undertakesourcing in China from western firms? point of view. Five Swedishfirms, i.e., Ericsson, H&M, Åhléns, Coop, and ICA have beeninvestigated to achieve the purpose of this study. Managerialimplications are provided for conducting sourcing effectively in China.
